MA meetings and groups are meant to be safe places where people gather for the primary purpose of obtaining and maintaining freedom from marijuana addiction, and helping others to achieve this same freedom by carrying the message of recovery to the marijuana addict who still suffers. The group conscience of each meeting or group is derived from its members. However, we are not immune to behavioral issues and difficulties that affect others within society both inside and outside of our meetings.
The well-being and survival of the group is critical to ensuring that individual marijuana addicts continue to have a place to go to seek recovery from marijuana addiction. World Services seeks to support safety in all groups by providing resources that aid in creating and maintaining group policies to ensure that all MA meetings are safe, accessible, and welcoming is critical to fulfill our primary purpose of “carrying the message” to the marijuana addict who still suffers.
