Outreach Committee

The MA World Services Outreach Committee is a compassionate channel of communication that provides resources and guidance to Districts, Groups, and Meetings so every member feels supported, connected, and empowered to thrive in the development and maintenance of our global fellowship.

The Outreach Committee aims to:

  • Maintains service materials such as the Outreach Handbook, the Meeting Resource Library and the New Meeting Starter Kit (NMSK).
  • Works to ensure that new and established groups/meetings and districts receive support
  • Supports MA by facilitating correspondence and supportive guidance to Groups/Meetings and Districts throughout the world
  • Review the resources for accuracy and update as needed
  • Create the New Meeting Starter Kit Resource Hub and pertinent templates, within a separate section from resources for other purposes within the Resource Library
  • Develop resources for the formation of Regions on the journey to becoming Districts

Unity Subcommittee

The Unity Subcommittee thrives on our primary purpose to carry the message to the addict who still suffers. We do so by seizing opportunities to support inclusion and visibility of marginalized and remote communities. Formerly known as Representation & Accessibility (R&A), Unity seeks ways to best support “our common welfare” as stated in Tradition One.

  • The Unity Committee is responsible for supporting inclusion and visibility of marginalized and remote communities. Formerly known as Representation & Accessibility, this subcommittee seeks to best support “our common welfare” as stated in Tradition One.
  • Assists with supporting underrepresented or marginalized identities so that all MA groups might feel free from the exclusion
  • Supports members, meetings and Districts by providing MA literature and business meeting information for handling safety issues, disruptive behavior or harassment
