Hospitals & Institutions / Public Information (HI/PI) Trustee Description

  • Chair HI/PI Committee meetings, coordinating with committee members, District HI/PI Subcommittee Chairs, and relevant Special Workers.
  • Respond to inquiries that come from any outside organizations, and answer questions about MA.
  • Work proactively to inform the general public and press about the Marijuana Anonymous program.
  • Explore and develop Public Awareness Campaigns in a variety of formats, including but not limited to:
    • Letters addressed directly to outside organizations
    • Flyers to post in any publicly visible and appropriate space—bulletin boards, telephone poles, schools, wellness centers, grocery stores
    • Radio & Video PSAs
    • Press releases in newspapers and magazines
    • Social Media websites
  • Be a resource for districts/regions and independent meetings that inquire about carrying out HI/PI within their jurisdiction.
  • Annually review and develop the HI/PI Handbook.
  • Supports the chair of the Social Media Subcommittee to strategize increasing online awareness of our fellowship
  • Act as secondary supervisor to the PR Manager, with primary support from the General Manager.
