A New Leaf Publications (ANLP) is the publishing department of MA. A New Leaf Publications oversees and administers the publication, distribution, and business of MA literature and publications for the purpose of carrying the message of recovery and service to the society of Marijuana Anonymous and to entities outside of MA. 

  • Responsible for the literature after its creation, facilitating the process of getting the MA literature into the hands of members and the addict who is still suffering.
  • Formats all MA Literature including pamphlets for their publication 
  • Oversees the distribution of Life with Hope, the MA Workbook, and Living Every Day with Hope
  • Produces the monthly literary publication A New Leaf

A New Leaf Publications Secretary

The ANLP Secretary’s primary responsibility is to communicate department meeting reminders and act as the primary scribe recording the meeting minutes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and typing skills
  • Proficient with Google Workspace: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs. Training and support are available if needed for this with familiarity or the willingness and ability to learn.
  • Additional Qualifications the ANLP Secretary should have at least:
    • Sobriety: One (1) year clean and sober from marijuana, alcohol, and all other mind-altering substances (unless those substances are taken as prescribed by a healthcare provider) 
    • Service: Experience at the World level, such as a member of ANLP, MA World Services Board Member, Conference Delegate, or a committee member.
    • Should a candidate not be found who meets these qualifications, the Board of Trustees may vote to make exceptions within its discretion.

Term Length:

  • Two (2) years from the date elected as Secretary, and they may serve an additional two-year term (for a total of 4 years)
  • Volunteer, appointed by the MA World Services Board of Trustees
