Newcomer Support Committee
The Newcomer Support Committee helps connect individuals new to Marijuana Anonymous with workshops, recovery resources, meeting information, literature, and fellowship support. Through outreach, introductory workshops, sponsorship panels, and shared experience, strength, and hope, the committee works to help newcomers feel welcomed and supported to Marijuana Anonymous.
Newcomer Support Committee provides:
- Support for individuals new to the MA fellowship by sharing program information and helping connect them with meetings and recovery resources.
- Discuss requests for support from those who are new to the MA fellowship by offering program and meeting information.
- Hosts introductory workshops, including Steps 1, 2, and 3 and Sponsorship Q&A Panels.
Current Goals:
- Collaborate with the new Special Worker role, Communications Coordinator to help facilitate support requests from individuals reaching out to MA World Services through phone, text, and email communications.
- Discuss and Plan workshops and panels to support new members.
